It’s finally here! The v1.0 of The Secret World for Foundry VTT (Savage Worlds Adventure Edition). Well, it’s kinda here; it’s being made available for backers of the North America Sourcebook who also added the module to their pledge, but I took a quick spin through the Foundry Marketplace and did not see the module for general sale.

So here we go.

I was apparently having some issues with my local Foundry Server install. It’s running on my home server but since the initial install I hadn’t tried to access it up until the other day when I wanted to set up the TSW module, only to find some errors in the logs. This morning I fixed what needed fixing, so now I’m a bit torn between developing things locally, or working directly on the server.

I have an idea for an initial TSW adventure, since I don’t think there’s any word about porting the few adventures currently available to Foundry. I could copy those elements into a Foundry Compendium — and probably will do so eventually — but there’s something gnawing at the back of my mind that wants me to create something of my own.

Thing is, I’ve been having some wicked trouble with the ol’ imagination in recent years. I don’t know what the deal is; I used to be able to come up with interesting ideas on-demand but whether it’s old age or maybe even creative atrophy, every NPC, every scene, every concept, puzzle, or MacGuffin on happens after prolonged contemplation. I do worry that such laser-like focus will result in disconnected entities that will require me to completely revise anything already done, which isn’t bad in and of itself, unless I have to revise so often that I just keep going round and round and never get to put anything to bed. We’ll see.
