This was another attempt to replicate a video I saw on TV. The original was featured in a car commercial and only focused on a single fold-out panel at a time, while the camera moved along to focus on that panel. But this effect isn’t much different from what you might see as a full-screen reveal, so it’s useful in its own right.

I don’t know that this was done with the most efficient means possible: I masked out each block, moved the anchor points, and rotated each panel in 3D space to get the opening effect. That was a lot of panels, and while I like the result, I wonder if there’s a quicker way to do this.
